A National Gallery, de Londres, em parceria com a General Electric, criou um painel vivo com 8.000 plantas que reproduz o célebre quadro de Van Gogh, “A Wheatfield, with Cypresses” (campo de trigo com ciprestes), que faz parte da sua colecção. Foi pintado em Setembro, de 1889, quando Van Gogh se encontrava internado, em St-Rémy, numa instituíção psiquiátrica perto de Arles. Esta iniciativa faz parte do plano de carbono da National Gallery e da estratégia de negócio da GE – Ecomagination que tem como objectivo de produzir com maior eficiência energética.
